Fun Things to Do at the Melbourne Regional!
UVS Games Staff
The 2025 Organized Play Cycle continues, with our first stop in Australia being the Melbourne Regional! Melbourne is known as "the Culture Capital of Australia," or "the Garden State" (no, not that one) for its parks and gardens. Like our trips to Chelmsford and Albuquerque, let's see what fun stuff Melbs has to offer when you're not battling it out at the Regional!
Melbourne Skydeck

Take a 360-degree tour from way, way up at the Melbourne Skydeck! You can get a regular view from massive windows that overlook the whole city, but you can also step out onto The Edge, a three-meter cube jutting out from the side of the building, letting you get a truly full view... even straight down!
Phillip Island Penguin Tours

Home to the largest little penguin colony in the world, Phillip Island is located outside the city (about 90 minutes' drive) and accessible by bridge. You'll take a tour on walkways, watch burrow cameras, and see these adorable little guys waddle about their daily lives!
Puffing Billy Railway

Winding through the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges, Puffing Billy is an old-style steam locomotive that makes regular rounds through a scenic track outside of Melbourne! Get comfy and even let your feet hang out the side as you enjoy this relaxing ride.
The Great Ocean Road

If you're feeling like a drive, the Great Ocean Road follows Australia's southeast coastline, with countless stops like the 12 Apostles rock formation. Visitors' centers and farm towns dot one side of the road, with the endless blue expanse on the other!
Old Melbourne Gaol

Australia is famous for having its own historical "wild west," which you can see in movies like The Man from Snowy River and The Proposition! Take a look back at Melbourne's exciting past with a tour through the Old Melbourne Gaol, learning about infamous outlaw Ned Kelly, the gaol's ghost stories, and more!
And that's a wrap! Be sure to follow our social channels and let us know your favorite stops in Melbourne!
If you haven't already, don't forget to sign up for the Melbourne Regional! And keep an eye out for more Organized play announcements, with our full schedule for the 2025 Organized Play Cycle here!
