Champion Card Legality Update

Greetings UVS players! We have a unique situation on our hands. So let's talk a little bit about the most recently released champion cards and their legality.

As some of you may know, over the last year or so, we have been catching up on prior champions who hadn’t yet had the chance to create their card. Working through these groups of players takes time to develop, test, print and release these champion cards. The most recent batch of champion cards Ashley Fullerton World Champion 2019, Mark Tyner World Champion 2020 and Brian Harris, Clinton Thomas and Scott Sundman 2019 National Team Champions are available right now on the loyalty store! We finished up these cards late this year. Starting their legality right now would leave them with only 2 months of legality in 2025.

On top of that, going into the holidays we want to avoid any issues that could arise from holiday shipping or other shipping delays that could occur. That’s why we have decided to push these champ cards' and any other champion cards that may be released before the end of 2025 to be legal for competitive play starting on January 1st, 2026. That way these cards don’t end up with an overly shortened legality window..

Assuming all goes well, we should be caught up on all our champs next year, so we don’t foresee having to do something like this again. We want to make sure all the champs in this batch feel like they got their fair share of time of standard legality, so we think this is the best course of action for our champs!
